Coaching for Organisational and Personal Excellence

At Dearden, we regard one-to-one coaching as a central component of personal and organisational development. We know from our own practice and from published research, that helping individuals to improve their own performance can make a major difference to the performance of their teams and to the performance of the wider organisation. Coaching can therefore be one of the most cost-effective development investments that any organisation can make providing a tangible return on investment.

We coach clients from Chief Executives, Directors, senior managers and clinicians, all of whom carry significant responsibility for organisational performance and improving outcomes for patients.

Not only do Dearden provide coaching on a one-to-one basis as part of an individual’s personal development, but also at times of significant individual or organisational change. Coaching is often included as a component of Board or team development.

  • We maintain absolute confidentiality. What passes between the coach and the person being coached is never reported to any third party.
     
  • The person being coached has complete control of the agenda, and determines the focus of any coaching intervention. 
     
  • Our approach is always non-directional. We are not helping if we are “telling”. We are helping if an individual reflects, arrives at some new insights, and takes responsibility.
     
  • We believe that the key to personal change and improved performance is found in increased self-awareness, self confidence, and awareness of others.
     
  • Our approach to coaching conversations will always have these broader goals in mind.
All of our accredited coaches participate in externally led supervision so that their coaching practice complies with best practice.
