Derek Emm's Consultancy Practice covers the areas of organisational development, service redesign, strategy and policy.
CAREER HISTORY
Derek's career spans all aspects of managing health care delivery. His NHS career has encompassed commissioning, operational management and strategic planning at senior management and board level. He has worked internationally in Africa and in the Middle East on a range of health care projects. He joined Dearden Consulting first as an associate in 1999 and then took up a senior position in 2004.
CONSULTANCY EXPERIENCE
During the last 5 years Derek's experience has encompassed a wide range of service delivery areas including strategic planning, service redesign, long term condition management, primary care development and business case production. The linkages across all these areas add value and provide opportunities for cross fertilisation.
Recent assignments have included:
• Designing a new competency assessment framework for PCT Directors
• The development of a chronic disease management strategy
• A primary care strategy underpinning major strategic investment
• Business case development for a large acute provider |
